A Slight Pivot on Week of Saturdays

Our goal is to give great advice about building a life you love, a life you choose, and life that blossoms and expands as you grow through various seasons of your life.

Hello friends!

When I started Week of Saturdays, the goal was to build a site to teach young Africans to use digital tech to make more money through freelancing, remote work or building businesses on the internet. The goal remains, and has now expanded to involve sharing my life lessons and musings – business and personal, and conversations about intentionally designing a life you love, a life you choose, and life that blooms and expands as you grow through various seasons in your life.

The goal has now expanded to involve my life lessons and musings – business and personal, and conversations about intentionally designing a life you love, a life you choose, and life that expands as you grow through various seasons in your life.

Over the years, as I have worked as a model, actress, entrepreneur, full-time 9-5er, independent consultant, freelancer, and now, remote worker and content creator, my attitude and beliefs about work/life balance, earning and managing money, adulting responsibly, and integrating my desires and goals into today’s culture, has changed drastically, and I will like to share them with you.

There is money to be made from so much more avenues than there has ever been for young people.

There is money to be made from so much more avenues than there has ever been for young people. We have 8-year-olds making millions off Youtube and 21-year-old billionaires selling makeup on Instagram. I believe that if you tap into what is most unique about you and focus on self-development, while making the most of today’s digital tech, you can create magic and catapult yourself into the top 50% earners in the world. Before taking the plunge though, it’s worth asking if the price is worth the game.

Between 2017 and 2019, I have realized that making money is not the most important thing. It’s great to have, and you should definitely work for it, but when you get it, it doesn’t erase other pressing issues you are sure to face in life – health, relationships, work/family/social pressure, managing finances, spirituality, and staying true to who you are.

I have learned lessons that do not involve money, and that’s the reason for this slight pivot on Week of Saturdays. I hope this new direction adds more value. I hope our articles and videos uplift you, make you think and then act. I hope they lead you to better places than you have been. Most of all, I hope they open your mind and bring you peace, wisdom and independence.

We wish you a life that is uniquely yours and covers all your needs.
